Iran says it destroyed US MQ-1 drone over Qeshm Island

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps today said its air defences had intercepted and destroyed a US MQ-1 drone over Qeshm Island, calling it the 15th such aircraft brought down. The IRGC’s public relations office said the drone was attacked by an advanced air defence system. The claim has not been independently verified.
