UK Consulate in Jerusalem Ends Role Amid New Tensions

Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said the British consulate in Jerusalem has ended its operations, with about 20 diplomats leaving their posts. A smaller team of seven will remain at the premises with limited duties. Britain said the building will operate as the UK Mission, Jerusalem, continuing essential services and work with the Palestinian people.
