The Supreme Court rejected the FIA’s appeal against the reinstatement of 40 officers allegedly linked to the 2023 Greek migrant boat tragedy. However, the court allowed the agency to reopen its departmental inquiry, directing it to fulfil due-process requirements. The officers had been dismissed over alleged facilitation of human smuggling, following a disaster that killed 155 people.
