KP Police on Alert Amid Fears of Possible Unrest

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa IGP Zulfiqar Hameed has alerted district police to possible violence and sabotage if the federal government imposes an emergency in the province. Officers have been directed to monitor protests, protect sensitive installations and identify troublemakers. The guidelines stress caution in using force, while allowing authorities to regulate or disperse assemblies when legal conditions are violated.
