The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council has announced a province-wide lawyers’ strike on October 19 against the imposition of governor’s rule and emergency, terming the measures unconstitutional. It plans to challenge the move in the Peshawar High Court and demanded the release or court production of detained political leaders and lawyer Ameer Ijaz.
