Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has postponed legislative elections until September 11, 2027, when presidential polls will also take place. The vote, originally scheduled for November 28, was delayed due to what Abbas described as Israeli-imposed obstacles and concerns over election conditions. The Palestinian Authority also accused Israel of blocking election officials’ access to East Jerusalem and Gaza.
