The Lahore High Court on Thursday declined to immediately suspend the preventive detention orders against Dr Uzma Khan and Noreen Niazi, sisters of PTI founder Imran Khan. The two were detained for 30 days under the Punjab Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance. Their counsel challenged the orders, arguing the sisters were non-political and lacked grounds for detention.
