NEW DELHI: India’s aviation industry is facing a reality check as crises at its two biggest carriers expose safety and regulatory concerns. Air India and IndiGo have also faced geopolitical disruptions that have squeezed profits and prompted airlines to reconsider expansion plans. The turmoil has underscored concerns over limited competition in the country’s fast-growing aviation market. Together, the two carriers control roughly nine out of every 10 domestic airline seats, highlighting their dominance.
