5 cases of the California “Epsilon” strain of the Covid-19 virus have been detected in Lahore. The Lahore Health Department confirmed the presence of a new strain. In Punjab, 23 samples were taken from the patients infected with this virus, out of which 5 samples tested positive. The health department said, “it is also highly infectious and almost equal to the Indian delta variant”.
