Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called his Belgian counterpart Bart De Wever “a weak leader who seeks to appease Islamic terrorism by sacrificing Israel”. “He wants to feed the terrorist crocodile before it devours Belgium. Israel … will continue to defend itself,” Mr Netanyahu said on X. Belgium’s Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot said on Tuesday that his country will recognise a Palestinian state at the UN General Assembly this month.
