China has announced that its space station, which will provide a bird’s-eye perspective of the earth and is seen as a vital strategic asset in space, will be operational this year.
China will be the only country to have its own space station once it is completed, as Russia’s International Space Station (ISS) is a collaborative effort involving multiple countries.
The China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASTC) said on Wednesday that the government will finish building the space station in 2022.
