NATO needs to accelerate its work on strengthening the protection of its eastern flank from drone attacks, Poland’s defence minister says, after an incursion that prompted Romania to scramble fighter jets in response. “Operation Eastern Sentry requires reinforcement,” Poland’s Defence Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz said, referring to a NATO operation to protect territory along NATO’s eastern flank, launched in response to a Russian drone incursion into Poland in September.
