Mediators in Islamabad believe a fair deal is within reach and that it is now down to Tehran to respond to it, according to sources familiar with the process, CNN reported. Pakistan is expecting to receive Iran’s revised peace proposal by Friday after US President Donald Trump rejected an earlier version, as efforts continue to break the deadlock between Washington and Tehran and avert a return to war. According to the report, officials involved in the mediation believe an agreement remains possible despite days of delay, with the process now hinging on Iran’s response.
