The Israeli military has issued a statement, saying army and police officers were dispatched after reports of violent assaults against Palestinians on Highway 60, which intersects the occupied West Bank. Several masked Israelis hurled stones and set tyres on fire near the Shilo junction, the statement said. One vehicle was set on fire, and its passengers were assaulted. One woman who escaped from the vehicle suffered from smoke inhalation and received initial treatment from the Red Crescent.
