PARIS: French President Emmanuel Macron has announced a major Saudi-backed investment to develop three theme parks in Cergy-Pontoise, northwest of Paris. Backed by Saudi Arabia’s Qiddiya, the project is expected to create 22,000 jobs and establish a new global entertainment destination. Macron described it as an unprecedented development, comparable in scale to France’s biggest entertainment projects since Disneyland Paris. He welcomed Saudi Arabia’s confidence in France, its talent and economic future.
