The ⁠Kremlin has criticised an announcement by Trump that the US would blockade ⁠the Strait of Hormuz, saying it would hurt global markets. The US military ‌said it would block shipping traffic in and out of Iran’s ports starting at 10am Washington, DC, time (14:00 ⁠GMT) today, a ⁠move that would prevent roughly 2 million barrels of Iranian ⁠oil a day from ⁠entering the ⁠world market, further tightening global supplies. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said ‌many aspects of Trump’s order remained unclear.
