Israel’s Defence Minister Israel Katz has approved the army’s plan for the takeover of Gaza city. This was presented to him by chief of staff Lt Gen Eyal Zamir. The takeover plan has sparked international condemnation, amid a humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.
