An Israeli soldier was killed in the southern Gaza city of Rafah on Monday, the Israeli army said. He was named Sgt Ori Itzchak Hadad, 21, of the Nahal Brigade’s 931st Battalion, from Beersheba. Another nine members of the battalion were wounded, one seriously, in the same incident, the army added.
