At least seven people were arrested on Saturday after clashes erupted between protesters and police at a rally in Tel Aviv calling for the release of hostages in Gaza and early elections, local media reported. Demonstrators chanted slogans against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and shut down a major street in Tel Aviv. Thousands of Israelis called on the government to act swiftly to secure the release of the remaining hostages who have been in captivity since Hamas attacked southern Israel on October 7.
