A US-funded shipment of flour for the UN Relief and Works Agency in Gaza is being blocked by Israeli ultranationalist Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, news outlet Axios reported, quoting two Israeli and US officials. The Israeli government approved the flour delivery weeks ago. It was due to arrive at the port of Ashdod and enter Gaza using the Kerem Shalom crossing. Israel has already been publicly thanked by US President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken for allowing the flour shipment to go through.
