Israel said on Tuesday that its troops were operating in the area of Jabalia after surrounding the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip. The Israeli army said that troops had, over the past day, operated in Hamas strongholds and destroyed infrastructure in the area. The military took control of key military posts from which attacks on Israeli troops had been carried out, the army said.
