Israeli forces have demolished two apartments in al-Walaja village, west of Bethlehem. Elsewhere, settlers set fire to a tractor in Burqa after attacking the village northwest of Nablus. They also attempted to set a vehicle on fire and to spray graffiti on a house. The Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that settlers in Khirbet al-Deir, southwest of Bethlehem, paved a dirt road to facilitate their access to the area’s freshwater spring. Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem are illegal under international law. The ICJ reaffirmed that position last year, saying Israel’s presence in the occupied Palestinian territory is unlawful and must end.
