Israeli forces claim Palestinian man shot dead in Gaza posed ‘immediate threat’

It was reported earlier that Israeli forces killed a Palestinian man in Gaza City’s eastern neighbourhood of Shujayea. The Israeli military has now commented on the incident, claiming there were “a number of suspects who approached the soldiers and posed a threat to them”. It said soldiers had fired “warning shots” but one of the suspects continued to pose “an immediate threat”, so they opened fire on him.
