The Israeli military said it intercepted a missile launched from Yemen early on Thursday, triggering sirens across Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Sirens sounded in several areas after the projectile was fired and Israel’s ambulance service said no serious injuries were reported. “A missile launched from Yemen was intercepted by the IAF prior to crossing into Israeli territory. Sirens were sounded in accordance with protocol,” the Israeli army said. There was no claim of responsibility but Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthis on Tuesday said they had fired a ballistic missile towards Israel and that they would expand their range of targets after Israeli strikes ended the ceasefire in Gaza.
