The Israeli army announced a four-hour suspension of military strikes in an area in central Gaza, purportedly to allow the safe passage of humanitarian supplies. Avichay Adraee, the military’s spokesman for Arabic media, announced in a post on X that there would be a “local and temporary tactical suspension of military activities for humanitarian purposes in the southeast of Deir el-Balah” that will last until 2pm local time (12:00 GMT).
