The death toll in Gaza rose to 26,422 after 165 Palestinians were killed in the past 24 hours, the enclave’s health ministry announced on Sunday afternoon. Another 65,087 Palestinians have been wounded in Israeli air strikes since the war began on October 7. At least 8,000 others are missing, presumed to be trapped under the rubble of destroyed buildings.
