Israel struck Syrian military targets in the occupied Golan Heights on Wednesday, the army announced in a rare acknowledgment of attacks on its northern neighbour and enemy. Israeli tanks and artillery targeted Syrian government forces’ military infrastructure “which exceeded the 1974 separation of forces agreement between Israel and Syria in the buffer zone”, the army wrote on X.
