The Israeli military said troops have destroyed about 50 tunnels in the Philadelphi Corridor in Rafah in southern Gaza over the past week. In a statement, the army said soldiers have been operating for the past month in the corridor. “The soldiers have been locating and destroying underground and terrorist infrastructure. As part of the engineering activity, the soldiers destroyed approximately 50 Hamas underground tunnel routes,” it stated.
