Israel’s army says its forces have bombed southern Lebanon’s Yanouh area, killing a person it identifies as Ahmad Ali Salami. The military statement published on Telegram claimed he was Hezbollah’s head of artillery in Yanouh. The army said it was “aware of the claim that uninvolved civilians were killed”, claiming, “Prior to the strike, steps were taken to mitigate harm to civilians, including the use of precise munitions and aerial surveillance.”
