The Lebanese army said on Thursday it received a soldier released after being detained by Israel on Sunday. The handover was enabled by the Red Cross, the army said in a post on X, adding that the soldier was taken to hospital for treatment. Israel said it would release five Lebanese held by its military during the war against Hezbollah in a “gesture to the Lebanese President”. Lebanon received four of them on Tuesday.
