Israel prison authorities confirm 183 Palestinians freed

Israel’s prison service has confirmed it released 183 Palestinian prisoners during the fifth exchange under the Gaza ceasefire deal between Hamas and Israel. It said in a statement that they “were transferred from several prisons across the country”, before they “were released” to the occupied West Bank, occupied East Jerusalem and Gaza.
