Mahmoud Basal, the spokesman of the Palestinian Civil Defence in Gaza, has told Al Jazeera that most of those killed in Israeli attacks today are children. He said Israeli forces used missiles, which have caused widespread destruction and large fires in targeted areas. Basal added that seven people have so far been recovered from the police headquarters bombed by Israeli forces in the Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood of Gaza City.
Rescue efforts are continuing at the site, he said.
