Israel on Friday said its defences intercepted a missile launched from Yemen, the third to be fired in less than 24 hours. “Following the alerts … one missile launched from Yemen was intercepted,” the army said in a statement. Yemen’s Houthi rebels confirmed the attack, saying they targeted the Ben Gurion Airport using a “hypersonic ballistic missile”. In a televised speech, Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said the group would continue to attack Israel until lifted the siege and stopped its war in Gaza.
