An Israeli siege on northern Gaza entered its 26th day on Wednesday, with the army destroying “any signs of life” in Jabalia, its refugee camp and the nearby city of Beit Lahia, according to the official Wafa news agency. About 1,000 Palestinians have been killed and dozens more wounded since the siege began earlier this month, Wafa said. “The occupation is destroying any signs of life in the town of Jabalia, its camp, and Beit Lahia, as it has destroyed entire residential neighbourhoods, under intense bloody bombardment and a strict siege that prevents the entry of food, water, and medicine,” it added.
