Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has denied sending hypersonic missiles to the Houthis, a day after the Yemeni rebels said they fired one into Israeli territory. On Sunday, the Houthis said it had successfully launched a hypersonic missile 2,040km in just 11.5 minutes, reaching Tel Aviv. “It takes a person a week to travel to Yemen (from Iran), how could this missile have gotten there?” Mr Pezeshkian told a televised press conference on Monday.
