Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei described Tehran’s response to the latest U.S. proposal to end the war as a “generous and responsible” offer, according to state-run IRNA. “We did not demand any concessions from the US, but rather called for an end to the war and a halt to maritime piracy against Iranian ships,” Baqaei said. He said Pakistan continues to serve as the official mediator between Tehran and Washington, while other countries, including Qatar, are also sharing views in the process.
