Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi has warned that Tehran is prepared to take “any action” to safeguard its sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz, while reiterating that it has no plans to negotiate with the United States, Al Jazeera reported. Speaking in remarks reported by the Fars news agency and Iranian state television, Gharibabadi said Iran would consider all options, including the resumption of war, to maintain control over the strategic waterway.
