New Delhi: On Dec 9, it was reported that the Indian farmers called off a year-long sit-in. The decision was taken in the wake of the government agreeing to the demands which include affirmations to consider guaranteed prices for all production, instead of just rice and wheat. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said last month he would take back three farm laws, seeking to end the longest-running farmers’ protest.
