Indian airlines plans to operate 50 flights to the Gulf today to serve tourists in the region and residents who want to leave. The Ministry of Civil Aviation said the operation follows 49 inbound flights on Sunday and 51 on Saturday. The main airports are in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Muscat and Jeddah, a statement said. The ministry is watching to ensure “ticket prices remain reasonable”. About nine million Indian citizens work in the Gulf states, including at least 3.5 million in the Emirates.
