The government was prohibited from harassing and arresting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers and leaders by the high courts in Islamabad and Lahore on Tuesday.

The court orders come only hours after police launched a crackdown on the erstwhile ruling party, raiding party leaders’ homes and allegedly compelling them to flee.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued notifications to the concerned parties, ordering them to stop harassing and arresting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers and leaders.
