Israel said that it detained hundreds of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad members, including security officials and military commanders, during an extended raid in Al Shifa Hospital, the military said. Israeli troops entered the enclave’s largest hospital complex in the early hours of Monday morning. The military said the hospital was connected to a tunnel network used as a base for militants. Hamas have denied the claims.
