Hamas has confirmed its spokesman Abdel-Latif Al Qanoua was killed in a “direct” Israeli attack on his tent in Jabalia, northern Gaza, at dawn on Thursday. Mr Al Qanoua was “an example of steadfastness and dedication in serving his people and their cause”, the group said in a statement on Telegram.
“The occupation’s targeting of the movement’s leaders and spokespeople will not break our will, but will only strengthen our resolve to continue on the path until the liberation of the land and holy sites,” it said.
