The conflict in Gaza was “escalating on Berlin’s streets”, with dozens of police officers injured in clashes with pro-Palestinian protesters, according to the police union. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz today told authorities to shut down rallies if anti-Semitic slogans were likely to be shouted and “people’s deaths will be glorified”.
