At least 34 Palestinians have been killed across the Gaza Strip since dawn as Israel pounds the coastal enclave, medical sources tell Al Jazeera. The Health Ministry said 77 people were killed and 222 wounded over the past 24 hours. A number of victims remain under the rubble and on the streets as ambulance and civil defence crews are unable to reach them because of Israeli army fire or restrictions.
