Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas condemned a US veto of a draft UN Security Council resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. The US veto made it complicit in Israeli “genocide, ethnic cleansing and war crimes” against Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem, Mr Abbas said on Saturday. Abbas held the US responsible for the bloodshed of Palestinian children, women, and the elderly in the Gaza Strip. He added that the US policy poses a threat to the world and international peace and security.
