A French soldier was killed and three others wounded in an attack on UN peacekeepers in Lebanon, says President Emmanuel Macron. He posted on X that “everything points to Hezbollah being responsible for this attack”, and he urged Lebanese authorities to arrest the perpetrators. Lebanon’s Prime Minister, Nawaf Salam, denounced the attack on members of the French contingent of the UN peacekeeping force UNIFIL and ordered an immediate investigation.
