French president receives influential Lebanese politician at Elysee Palace

French President Emmanuel Macron has met the former leader of Lebanon’s Progressive Socialist Party, Walid Joumblatt, at the Elysee Palace. The Media Commission of the Progressive Socialist Party said Macron and Jumblatt discussed “the latest developments on the Lebanese and regional scenes”. Jumblatt’s family is the leading voice of Lebanon’s Druze community.
