Gaza’s civil defence said 40 tents were “obliterated” in an overnight strike that killed 40 and left at least 60 missing. “The targeted area contained about 200 tents, and approximately 40 of them were completely destroyed,” civil defence spokesman Mahmoud Bassal told The National. “Many victims are still buried under the sand, and civil defence teams are making great efforts to search for them and recover their bodies, as the entire area is sandy.
