Three fires have been detected burning in the Gulf of Oman that separates Iran from the UAE, according to data from Nasa, with reports that ships are ablaze as Israel and Iran attack each other for a fifth straight day. However, British maritime security firm Ambrey said the cause of the incident was not security related, according to Reuters. Ambrey said it was aware of an incident 22 nautical miles to the east of Khor Fakkan in Fujairah. Iran’s Fars news agency said three ships had caught fire in waters near the Strait of Hormuz, citing reports. Data from Nasa’s Fire Information for Resource Management System showed the presence of three blazes off the coast of Fujairah.
