On Thursday, Federal Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Chaudhry criticized opposition parties, proclaiming that PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz was “celebrating her defeat” in the first phase of local government elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). “Instead (of celebrating), they [PPP and PML-N] should have visited their party workers in KP to boost their morale. They should have done national politics,” he said. PTI showed dismal results as JUI-F won 17 seats as compared to PTI’s 12 seats.
